Toongabbie & Districts Junior Soccer Club was established in 1953 in the Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association. The club is run as a not for profit organization, by a small group of dedicated volunteers who give up their time to run the club throughout the year.

As the oldest football club within the ambit of the Holroyd City Council (now Cumberland Council), Toongabbie & Districts Junior Soccer Club prides itself in its heritage, as well as its future potential to bring together the community in the Toongabbie and surrounding areas. We hold the view that organized sport, and football in particular, has gone a long way towards promoting cooperation and community involvement, especially where children and whole families are able to take part.

At Toongabbie we have a profound focus on community involvement. As mentioned our club is run by local volunteers of all ages, many of whom play for the club or have children or other family members who do so, or have done so. Fundraising and club events form a large part of our ability to raise necessary capital, and promotes involvement and inclusion among all Club members. We are proud of, and work to maintain, our multicultural member base, and estimate that a large proportion, approximately 75% of our players, are from a non-English speaking background. We see football as key to promoting community involvement, participation and development.

Furthermore, at Toongabbie & Districts Junior Soccer Club we work strongly towards facilitating and developing youth players. We participate in and host “small-sided football” for players under 11 years of age. We have successfully hosted gala days to promote the game amongst children from our, and other local clubs. We are also keenly interested in promoting and developing soccer in Western Sydney, and have established a relationship with the Western Sydney Wanderers A-League team, who have attended a number of our Junior Presentation Days.
